The conservation of historic buildings is a core Lochplace skill. The revitalisation of period buildings and bringing them back into the modern day is something we seek to achieve across our business. A number of major projects have been undertaken which demonstrate the exceptional standard to which Lochplace has restored and conserved a variety of historically important buildings.
Cor Castle was destroyed by fire in the 1920’s and had remained a roofless ruin until Lochplace started a restoration project to bring the building back to life. When the project began mature trees were growing through the interior and out the roof! Today the building has been restored to it’s original splendour using best practise conservation skills and materials.
